Just too tired to move on.

Ever felt that you're just too tired to move on? You just want to stop and breathe? Recently, 2 of my friends told me something like that. One, because the world was crashing down on her. Her world was falling down. Everything she had was disappearing all at the same time. The other, had to bear all the burdens of the people she loves. So many things were happening to her loved ones. " It feels like all the arrows are pointed towards me. Waiting. Waiting for me to slacken, and they will release the arrows." She said.

One had God in her heart. The other, had God outside of her heart. God was a Sunday friend that she meets. So what's the difference here?

Romans 8:26-28 " In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will. And we know that in all things god works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose"

The world can crash for both of them. But who will be the ultimate survivor?

People studying really hard: We're keeping you in our prayers.

Here's a song: We cry out- Kari Jobe

"As he looked up, Jesus saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. "I tell you the truth," he said, "this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on."

Luke 21 : 1-4

This should be a fairly familiar bible passage to most of us, but there's a lesson to learn from here that we should still be mindful of, especially for those who are preparing for their major exams. It's easy to be faithful when all's going well, but when we are stressed and pushed to breaking point, are we still able to give as the poor widow did? Are we able to give everything we have to live on, to offer it all up to God?

Think about it

"He will not let your foot slip- He who watches over you will not slumber;"
Psalm 121:3

to all those who are having your exams now, ALL THE BEST!
May you fight the good fight, finish the race and (always) keep the faith.
hang on to the very end and always believe and trust that God's strength will be with you.

hmm... and always bear in mind the following:
never stop praying and always believe :))

I was looking through some of my old drawers for an old book that I wanted to reread when I came across something I didn't really expect to find. It was the Thief Of Always booklet from last year's musical in march, and surprisingly enough the booklet was in near perfect condition. So I ended up flipping through it and hearing the songs all over again in my head, and one song kinda stuck. It's entitled "Trust His Heart"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vh65wLVbaww

Lyrics
All things work for our good
Though sometimes we can't see how they could
Struggles that break our hearts in two
Sometimes blind us to the truth

Our Father knows what's best for us
His ways are not our own
So when your pathway goes dim
And you just can't see Him
Remember, you're never alone

God is too wise to be mistaken
God is too good to be unkind
So when you don't understand
When you don't see His hand
When you can't trace His hand, trust His heart

He sees the master plan
He holds the future in His hand
So don't live as those who have no hope
Our hope is found in Him

We see the present things
But He see's the first and the last
And like a tapestry He's weaving you and me
To someday be just like Him

God is too wise to be mistaken
God is too good to be unkind
So when you don't understand
When you don't see His plan
When you can't trace His hand, trust His heart

He alone is faithful and true
He alone knows what is best for you

God is too wise to be mistaken
God is too good to be unkind
So when you don't understand
When you don't see His plan
When you can't trace His hand, trust His heart

When you don't understand
When you don't see His plan
When you can't trace His hand
Trust His Heart

I hope this song will be a great encouragement to everyone, just as it was to me when i first heard it.

Think About It

"The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."

-Deuteronomy 31:8

As teenages, mega emotions are a part of us. We don't know whyy but we can't help get frustrated over the smallest thing, fuss over little incidents, drive ourselves crazy trying to do well, or give up half way. We are afraid, we get discouraged. But fear not! There is hope, we hope in the Lord. We're safe and secure in His mighty hands.

And everybody says, Amennnn! :D

God and His Creation

Hey, here's a really cool video that I really like... Please click the link below to watch it because I really have no idea how blogs work -_- Either that or my school's computer doesn't work very well... haha :P

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Fp78lx-8fM (for the best effect, try to make the screen as wide as possible and blast the music... of course not too loud that it makes your neighbours angry...)

It's a planet earth trailer... I guess some of us have probably watched it before but... heh... If you have the time... watch it again :) and just spend sometime lingering in front of the computer screen when the video has finished playing, thinking about all the wonders of the Earth that God has created... How beautiful... how majestic it all is...

Then think about how small you are compared to the vast tapestry our LORD has woven around you... think about your worries... which are much much smaller... and just... let go. Because if God can make all the wonders of the Earth, if He holds their existance in the palm of His hands, how hard could handling your worries for you be to Him?

Haha... just a little something I enjoy doing when i'm anxious about stuff :)

PLHers!

Prinsep Lighthouse (PLH) is the youth ministry of Prinsep Street Presbyterian Church. It’s meant for all youths aged 13-18 years old to come together every Sunday for a fellowship as well as to worship God and learn more about Him.PLH is on every Sunday from 11am to 12.45pm. On usual Sundays, we have worship time from 11-11.30am. During worship, we sing songs of praise to God.

After which the youths will break up into their respective groups to do a Bible Study for the rest of the time there. These Bible Studies are led by Mentors, who are really nice and fun people and are very knowledgeable and helpful as well. While doing Bible Studies, we share about our life too! Our joy, our pride, our problems, our challenges..and through this, we make loads of great friends!!
